Our Story
Adequate Attic ventilation is crucial to the proper function of a roof and attic system. An attic that can breathe is energy efficient, prevents mold & mildew growth, expels toxic fumes, prevents ice damming, and prolongs the life of the roof. Achieving adequate ventilation is particularly challenging in heavy snow load zones. To be effective under snow load, the roof ventilation system must (1) allow adequate airflow while (2) preventing moisture intrusion without (3) sacrificing its structural integrity. No single product currently on the market meets these three criteria. Inherent flaws in their design cause them to buckle and fail under heavy snow loads. As a roofing contractor in the Sierra Nevada region, we recognized the need for a versatile ventilation solution that outperforms the status quo during brutal Winters. Our solution is the Truckee Ridge system. We believe it is the most durable, versatile, overachieving roof ventilation system on the market.

Truckee has one of the highest snowfall averages in the country and can experience snowfall close to 3ft. in a 24hr. period. Sometimes called “Sierra Cement”, the snow is often a heavy, wet, powder that creates a heavyweight snowpack. Recent seasons have brought snow accumulation of over 15ft. This brutal snow load collapsed structures, buckled doorframes and seriously damaged roofs in the area. It was in these conditions that the Truckee Ridge was created.
Our Solution
With extensive knowledge and experience in metal roofing and flashings, we wanted to create a product that was perfect for metal roofing applications but was also versatile enough to be used in all types of roofing.
